BE ON THE LOOKOUT WEDNESDAY!

Short post...

I'm going to be asking for some votes tomorrow through Sunday and wanted to give you all a heads up.

I'm not sure when, but I'm thinking it was about a month ago, I must have received an email from CARA (Chicago Area Runners Association - who I trained through for the Chicago Marathon, read about it here) telling people to submit a story to them to be picked as "Athlete of the Month.  Now, I don't really remember much about it at all!  I mean, I probably just figured "What the heck, it won't hurt to submit something!" I really didn't think I would be picked for anything!

I do vaguely remember it saying things like you don't have to be the fastest runner or even have completed a marathon or anything.  Basically (I think) they wanted to know your story, how you started running, maybe challenges, etc.  I'm pretty sure I wrote something about running, losing weight, running, marathon....blah blah blah!  lol.

Low and behold, yesterday I received an email from CARA telling me that I was chosen as one of the five finalists for Athlete of the Month!  Really!?!  Me?  I mean, I guess I do have a semi-good story.  I still didn't think I would be chosen for anything!!

SO HERE IS WHAT YOU NEED TO DO STARTING WEDNESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY:

Check back here and I will post what you need to do (haha!!).  I'm not sure yet.  I think it will be posted on the CARA facebook page and you have to "like" my photo.  The person with the most "likes" will win.

And because you are all so very special to me, I know you will all post it on your blogs so as to help get me more votes, right??  I love you all!  Just remember that!  lol  :)

So please check back tomorrow!!  I'll give you all the details!  How cool would that be if I was Athlete of the Month!  I guess this just proves that it doesn't hurt to try for things!
