Thanks everyone for the wonderful words of encouragement after my great weight loss last week! I was definitely excited not only to have lost weight, but to have actually tracked my food intake for the whole week. That always helps me with weight loss!
But I need to keep that motivation up. I didn't track the last couple days! Oops!! Ok, I'll track the rest of the week. It's the only way for me!
Anyway, I think I'm losing my mind! The marathon must be getting to me! I keep have strange dreams about why I can't train for the marathon or actually run the marathon.
The latest dream was last night. I went to the doctor because of a slight pain near the Achilles tendon. After test results came back, I was advised that if I stepped on that part of my foot wrong, I could rupture (whatever the problem was) and I could bleed to death! All I kept saying was, "But I have 12 miles to run this Saturday for training!!" Oh my goodness, the mind is a crazy place!
Another dream I had was that I went to the gym and the gym had removed ALL of the treadmills!! I just kept thinking, "That's weird, why would they do that!" Funny thing is, I run outside at least half the time so that really wouldn't be too bad.
I know I've had a few more dreams of this nature but I can't remember what they are. I think I'm going to have to write a running journal for this marathon so that I can keep track of all of these crazy things that are going on!! I track the miles right now but that's all. This might be an interesting journal!
How was your weekend? Ours was HOT. And it's just going to get HOTTER! Is that possible? Yes, yes it is! Actually, it will be in the mid-90's with a heat index of 110 or so. Some of you may be hotter. Is anyone hotter or colder? What's the temps like for you guys this week?
Also, do you guys have strange dreams when it comes to a major event such as running a marathon?
