Off Topic Relationship Post

So sorry, I'm going off topic for a minute.

Matt and I have broken up or taken a break or something.  I think it's for good though.

I think the long distance thing has taken it's toll and I asked for honesty, he doesn't really look forward to our visits as much anymore (ouch!).  I asked and I wanted to know.  So that's that.  I'm not going to cry (if I can help it).  I told him he knows how I feel but I can't change his feelings on it.  I'm not going to beg.  I'm going to move forward.

I guess it's time to refocus on myself again.  No distractions.

Thanks for listening.

  1. ((HUGS)) I'm sorry, Amanda. I'm sure it's for the best though it may not feel like it at this time. Thinking about you. Break ups suck!

  2. Thanks Kelly. Yeah, they do. I'm hanging in. Trying not to cry about it this time. Everything happens for a reason.

  4. Oh, I'm so sorry, Amanda :( Hope you'll be kind to yourself during this time. You deserve the BEST and if he's not it... you are better off in the long run. His loss! HUGS!!!

  5. Amanda, sending you hugs. You just keep focusing on yourself. The rest will happen. And it is true, you deserve THE BEST.

  6. Thank you everyone. It's tough but I'll handle it. I'll eat right and workout (thinking a long run tonight). I'll control the things I can control and forget about the things I can't.

In all fairness, he wasn't being a jerk. It's really the long distance taking it's toll so I can kinda understand that. But I'll call him a jerk just to make me feel better! lol

  7. Sending HUGE hugs your way. While I know this is a tough time, I know you'll pull through a stronger person because of it.

Long distance relationships are hard - especially when you don't meet in person before you are separated.

Hang in there - how is the job going - still sucky?

  8. I'm sorry, Amanda, that's too bad. Long distance is very hard to do. Turn your thoughts into your workouts. Get it out through a boxing class, refocus your mind on getting your self on track. We are all here for you!

Take it easy - it's always a challenge in a long distance, or any relationship!
